Q. Where can I buy Goo Goo Clusters?

A. There are several retail chains that carry Goo Goo Clusters including Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and many Tennessee and Kentucky Kroger Grocery Stores. However, the store locator is the best place to find your nearest Goo Goo Cluster retailer. It is also possible to order products from our online store.

Q. I went to your online store to order Goo Goo Clusters but the candy is not available for shipment – how come?

A. Between approximately May 1st and October 1st it is too hot to ship Goo Goo Clusters from our Nashville factory. The real milk chocolate that the candy is made with starts to melt when temperatures escalate higher than 70˚ Fahrenheit.

Q. Do you offer tours of your Nashville candy factory?

A. Sadly, we cannot offer tours of the factory, as this would not be compliant with our Food Safety program.

Q. I’m involved with a charitable foundation and want to know if I can get a product donation?

A. Our corporate policy is to review all submissions for philanthropic activities at an annual planning meeting in August. If you would like to be considered for a product donation for your group send a request explaining the nature of your organization, the amount of product you’re asking to be donated and the date of your event to donations@googoo.com and we will notify you in September as to the status of your request.

Q. I thought Standard Candy made the Goo Goo Cluster – what is Goo Goo Cluster, LLC?

A. Goo Goo Cluster, LLC was formed in 2011 as a subsidiary of Standard Candy, Inc., which is also the parent company of
Standard Functional Foods Group, Inc. SFFG is the manufacturing arm of Standard Candy and makes Goo Goo Clusters as well as many other products as a contract food manufacturer. The board of Standard Candy, Inc to protect the Goo Goo Cluster brand and help it to reach the goals of the board formed Goo Goo Cluster, LLC. The big winner in this change are lovers of Goo Goo Clusters as the newly formed Goo Goo Cluster, LLC has a singular vision to aggrandize through all available resources, Goo Goo Clusters.

Q. I want to work in a candy factory! Are you hiring?

A. Please direct all applications for employment to Standard Functional Foods Group’s human resources department.

Q. I’m really talented – will you sponsor me?

A. Probably not. We’re flattered that you would think of us as a potential proponent in your quest for excellence but the fact is, our marketing team works hard to create strategic relationships in the sponsorship world and those marketing dollars are appropriated very deliberately and per the research and development of our sponsorship managers. If they want to sponsor you, don’t worry, you’ll hear from them!

Q. Didn’t you guys used to make the Cumberland Ridge Pecan Log Roll?

A. We did. Unfortunately, we don’t make that product currently due to constraints in the manufacturing process at our factory in Nashville. The pecan log roll was a particularly time-intensive product to make and the costs to make the product outstripped the potential to realize any profit in doing so (to say nothing of the soaring cost of pecans which also did not help the pecan log roll’s cause!).

Q. I’m curious about the nutritional information of your candy?

A. Please refer to the products page for nutritional information about Goo Goo Clusters.

Q. Is a Goo Goo Cluster really “A Nourishing Lunch for a Nickel”?

A. In the 1920’s and 1930’s we used to promote Goo Goo’s as such but alas, we would be remiss to do that today per USDA’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Oh yeah, and unfortunately they don’t cost a nickel anymore either - sorry!

Q. I have celiac disease. Is it safe for me to eat Goo Goo Clusters?

A. Unfortunately, no. All three varieties of Goo Goo Clusters contain wheat gluten.

Q. I bought a Goo Goo Cluster that didn’t taste quite right – can I have a new one?

A. Yes. Please mail us the uneaten portion of the candy along with the wrapper that it came in and we’ll send you a new one.

Q. Do Goo Goo Clusters contain gluten?

A. Wheat is one of the ingredients we use in our allergen compound that we mix into our recipe in a trace amount to comply with Food Safety regulations. Because the FDA has a zero limit (tolerance) for allergens in food we take the preventative step of inserting all know problem allergens into our products as a tiny fraction of the overall recipe to avoid making a claim that is later proven incorrect. If a single molecule of gluten somehow makes its way into a product that is labeled as not containing gluten then it would be mislabeled product and against regulations. While we have very good control of out processes, we cannot control a single molecule from floating around. With this in mind, we feel that it’s our duty as responsible manufactures to provide as safe a product as possible to our consumers. We also recognize the inconvenience this will cause but safety is the top priority.
