Summer Chef Series

Can hardly believe it was the sixth year of our summer candy collab with amazing local chefs! The 2020 participants were Thai Esane's Nina Singto, Skylar Bush of Edible Nashville Magazine, Aqui Hines of 400 Degrees Hot Chicken, Tailor Nashville's Vivek Surti, Brian Riggenbach from Mockingbird, and David Tieman from Five Points Pizza,

Spreading Joy

We started the Spreading Joy initiative to lift spirits in a year that brought devastation to Nashville by way of a tornado, a pandemic, and the bombing of our beloved downtown. Over 100,000 Goo Goos were donated to relief efforts, frontline workers, and community support groups—56K of which went to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

Home Sweet Home

Several of our team members have settled into their new spaces this year. Mike bought his first in Nashville, Sara was impacted by the March tornado and was able to move to a great spot downtown, Beth has been diligently building a home and was finally able to move in this month, Valerie moved into a house just eight minutes away from the Goo Goo Shop, and Abby is in full-on nesting mode in her new place.

Better Together

Goo Goo Shop

Like many small businesses, this spring we had to make difficult decisions. Thankfully, our Shop was able to open again and we pivoted to offer curbside pickup.

That Has a Nice Ring to It

Kalyn got engaged earlier this year and we also celebrated with Abby who had to revise her wedding plans many times over, but made it official this spring. The big soirée is yet to come. Mazel Tov!

Goo Goo-d Pupper

Meet our new mascot, Nala! She came home with her human, Laurie, just after Thanksgiving, and we’ve been swooning ever since.
